Hey there, it's been a pretty long time!
I'm back to share some pictures of my short stay in Annecy this week :) As you may or may not know, this French town is famous for its amazing lake surrounded by mountains, and also for its very charming historic center nicknamed "Little Venise".
Annecy was on my bucket list for a long time, so I'm grateful to have finally found the time to visit it!
I had 3 days off and I wanted a change of scenery but not too far from Paris - That's why I thought this place would be the perfect destination for me.
But I have to admit having one regret: I think I chose the wrong period to go there because there were
SO MANY PEOPLE EVERYWHERE due to the bank days in France... I had to get up and walk around early to see the beautiful empty landscapes and take some cute photos!
That's why I was a little disappointed - I truly had the vision of myself sitting on a bank in front of the lake while listening to peaceful music and meditating about my life haha - But I couldn't make my dream come true because of the crowd lol!
To conclude, I can only recommend avoiding vacation periods, or bank days, if you want to enjoy Annecy at 100% (June or September might be the best months).
Or, at least to avoid the day's peak hours - One example: after my boat tour, I went for an ice cream
(it was around 4 p.m.) and there was a 20-30 minute queue! So I chose to go back to the store at 8 p.m. and
I waited less than 5min to get my ice cream 🍦. I took the "Paris Brest" flavor and it was veryyy tasty 😊)
But come to Annecy for a weekend, because the city is worth it for sure :)
